Dota 6.64 Bug/Exploit - Obsidian Destroyer, Bottle Rune Abuse

Dota 6.64 - Obsidian Destroyer infinite bottle rune abuse. Kuarinofu has posted another Dota 6.64 bug video on YouTube. Previously, he posted Dota 6.64 Quelling Blade bug but now you can abuse Bottle Rune and it's charges using Obsidian Destroyer's second skill, Astral Imprisonment. You can get infinite bottle charges, but you need to be perfect with timings. Check the video below:

-Changed the default AI behavior of creeps and towers to be the same as in the official map
-Fixed the fade on Circles of Protection belonging to other players
-Fixed some numerical errors on Bristle back's abilities

As IceFrog released Dota 6.64 map, BuffMePlz (Dota AI Developer) started working on the Dota 6.64 AI soon after it. Dota 6.64 AI Update #2 (by BMP):

With a host of new abilities and rewrites, many abilities that previously worked with the script either aren't used properly or aren't used at all. Some abilities (like Epicenter after Burrowstrike) worked in previous versions due to hacks that I put in that I've since removed during refactoring.

If you see something that's not working and isn't on this list, let me know, I'll try to keep this updated and address these when I have time (I probably missed several). Please keep in mind that I have a real life and a real job and both take priority over this, so progress might not be as fast as you'd like, but I'll have to ask for your patience.

IceFrog get Backup from Valve!

IceFrog just announced a really good news for Dota-Allstars fans on his blog. After some periods developing Dota, finally he got some strong backup for the Dota development. Now he is leading a team at Valve and has all the resource needed to expand Dota even more! Wow, that's really cool! What makes me more excited, he also stated that Dota 6.64 will be ready soon and he even already planned a new hero or hero remakes on Dota 6.65. Woohooooo!!!

I have some really awesome news I'd like to share with you guys. I am now leading a team at Valve! I finally have all the resources needed to do some very exciting stuff that you guys will love. I look forward to revealing more specific details when the time is right.

My goal and top priority in the future is to solve the surrounding issues that affect the DotA experience in order to allow it to reach new heights. Addressing these issues will enable us to further enjoy aspects of DotA such as the gameplay, mechanics, and in-game feel that currently work well and ought to be maintained. As I've said many times in the past and especially after today's developments, I am very excited about DotA's future!

With regards to the 6.64 patch, the focus will be primarily on more balance improvements. It is moving along very smoothly and I expect to have it ready soon. Once those refinements are done, I'll be working on some fun new content such as heroes or remakes for the 6.65 version. If there are specific things, big or small, you want me to consider for patches that follow, let me know.

Wow! I hope much more feature will be introduced in the future. Especially with the new development team! :)

I started working on 6.64 a couple days ago. At first we began experimenting with some number tweaks to the boots, and even some ideas for secondary bonuses that seemed interesting.

However, we found out that there is a technical issue with Phase Boots. They seem to prevent procs like crits, bashes, etc while phased. It was never as apparent before because it was not coupled with attack speed. This makes the Phase Boots a bit anti-synergetic.

While there may be workarounds for that bug, most would probably come at the cost of some functionality. So while still keeping with the primary no armor concept, I am exploring a new buildup for Phase Boots and Power Treads. Keep in mind that numbers are still at an early stage and this change is by no means final, but I'd like to share one version of what we are experimenting with.


Phase Boots:

2x Blades of Attack (1000)

+70 Movement Speed
+26 Damage
Phase (Active)


Power Treads:

Boots of Speed (500)
Boots of Elvenskin or Belt of Giant Strength or Robe of the Magi (450)

Again, we usually go through many different concept revisions before a final change is decided (if one even happens) so don't take this as a decided change for 6.64 yet.

So, that's mean we'll going back to the usual boots but with the armor removed from the Phase Boots. I think that's a good news for those who hate the latest changes on boots :)

How to reduce lag while playing games in Garena

The solution for that is half-open limit.

BTW what is half-open limit?

Windows XP SP2 and later versions have only limited 10 concurrent half-open outbound connections.
After 10, new connection attempts are put in a queue and forced to wait.
Thus, the speed of connection to other PCs is limited.
(Microsoft do this to slow the spread of virus and reduce DoS attack)

To simplify, it means when surf forums, you can only load up to 10 images at once.
If there's 20 images, you need to wait another 10 images to finish then only it load.
If torrent download, you can only receive connection up to 10 seeds.
If Garena, you play DotA already connecting to 9 players then anything like auto-update or download interrupt, surely it lag.

To solve this, simply change the value to 256.
256 is tweak for gaming and download. (Recommended Value)
