Although this is unexpected, the Warcraft 3 TFT Patch 1.24e fix multiple number of hack, like crash hack, sheep hack, phoenix hack and some other hacks. Blizzard has just released the Warcraft 1.24c Patch. As i already covered before, the new patch contain some bug fixes. Warcraft 1.24c Patch is somehow compatible with Warcraft 1.24b Patch, which means both patch can play together. However, it's reported that you will have lag/spike if you do so. Warcraft 1.24c Patch is Live on WestFall!

Looks like the Warcraft 1.24c Patch has been live on Westfall server (PTR) since November 12. As usual, this means that the new Warcraft 1.24c Patch is entering the Beta phase and on a couple of days/weeks it will be released into the other Battle.net server. This patch intended to optimizing the map editor and fix some other bug. Especially the "Chapter Six: The Culling" human campaign map that cannot be loaded on the previous Warcraft 1.24b Patch.

Patch 1.24b Warcraft TFT is Released!

Patch 1.24b Warcraft TFT has just released together with Dota 6.62! This patch is also include the increase of map size limit on its notes, which is not included yet on Warcraft 1.24 Patch changelogs. 

Hopefully, this is the last time Blizzard make massive changes on the custom map code. So, we don't have to wait several months just for compatibility issue. And here is the complete changelogs:

Warcraft 1.24b Patch (Beta) Released

Warcraft 1.24b Patch Beta has just went live on the  Westfall server. And IceFrog following this by released another Dota 6.62 Beta Map, Dota 6.62 Beta 9. Here is what IceFrog said in PlayDota forums about the Warcraft 1.24b Patch:

A new blizzard patch has been released on the test realm. Download this patch and then download 6.62 Beta 9.

We need lots of full games on this. Either do your own games or join ones that some people will be advertising in this forum.

You can get the Warcraft 1.24b Patch Beta by choosing Westfall (ClassicBeta) option from the realm menu on the battle.net, just like the previous version. If you really want to help IceFrog or contributing to Dota development, maybe this is the right time ;)

Patch 1.24 Warcraft TFT is Released!

Patch 1.24 Warcraft TFT is now released and went on public realm. Previously, it's only available on Westfall (ClassicBeta). However, this patch it's not compatible with the Dota 6.61 b or the Dota 6.62 Beta. But you can still play the Dota 6.59d on Warcraft 1.24 Patch.

IceFrog is already aware and working hard to fix this problem, so be patient ;) And the good news is, the Patch 1.24 increased the map size limit from 4MB to 8MB. So IceFrog have more space to add new contents (yay, new hero is good!). Here is the complete changelogs:

DoTA Update
For those playing DoTA on Battle.net, currently the latest version that is working correctly online is 6.59d. We are actively working with Icefrog to get the later versions to be compatible with the new map

To get the patch, just connect to the Battle.net. For the offline upgrade, check the Update Warcraft 1.24 Offline post. But please note that if you upgrade, you won't be able the current Dota version -_- Well, let's hope IceFrog will release the new map that compatible with the current patch soon. Anyway, enjoy! :)

How to Get Warcraft 1.24 Patch (Beta)

Warcraft 1.24 Patch is needed to help IceFrog testing the Dota 6.62 Beta Map. Here is what IceFrog said in PlayDota forums to get Warcraft 1.24 Patch:

To get the latest patch, select the Westfall (ClassicBeta) option from the realm menu on battle.net. Your warcraft will then be patched to 1.24.

If you need to revert back to 1.23 for whatever reason (for example, if you need to test something in 6.61b to compare), just change to a different realm and click connect. Warcraft will then revert back to the older version.

Honestly, i cannot connect to Battle.Net right now. So if you already get the 1.24 Patch, feel free to share it here :) (because Blizzard keep saying the next patch will be Warcraft 1.23b Patch)

Warcraft 1.24b Patch will likely coming up to follow the 1.24 Patch. IceFrog said in his latest post, that the current patch is not final and there will be Warcraft 1.24b Patch/1.24c Patch.

Blizzard is still tweakening the current patch. And IceFrog will keep updating the Dota 6.62 Beta map to keep up with the released patch.

Warcraft Patch 1.23b | Warcraft 1.23b Patch - Custom Map Virus Fix

Warcraft Patch 1.23b | Warcraft 1.23b Patch - Custom Map Virus Fix. After waiting for several weeks, Blizzard announce a new patch to prevent Warcraft Custom Map Virus. IceFrog said before on his blog, that there will be Warcraft 1.24 Patch to address this issue. But based on Blizzard forums, it will be Warcraft 1.23b Patch instead.

On his post, Karune (Blizzard Admin) said that they now created a Public Test Realm on Westfall to test the new patch with the popular custom maps (well, i guess we know which map he is refering to).

Following our temporary fix to address the recently identified Warcraft III exploit, we have begun preparations to implement a permanent resolution of the issue on Battle.net. As a consequence of this fix (which prevents the possibility of malicious software being spread through Warcraft III maps), we do anticipate that some functionality in current maps will need to be adjusted before it will work properly. Before deploying the fix, we’ll be working closely with the makers of some of the most popular maps to ensure that their maps continue to stay playable on Battle.net with little to no interruption. In the meantime, we’ll be hosting a Public Test Realm (PTR) for map makers to test their maps beginning on June 9th, 2009. We will also be hosting online guides to help map makers make the transition into the new patch during this process. Throughout this process we’ll keep everyone posted on any updates leading up to the release of the patch.

Well, i guess most people seem don't care too much about this and busy trying new stuff on Dota-Allstars 6.60 right ^^?

Warcraft Patch 1.24 | Warcraft 1.24 Patch - Custom Map Virus Fix

Warcraft 1.24 Patch now is on very fast development due the latest fatal exploit on WC3 engine, Warcraft Custom Map Virus. IceFrog is revealed on his latest post, that there will be Warcraft III 1.24 Patch in nearly future. Well, Blizzard and IceFrog is having mutual benefits so far from Dota-Allstars, so it wouldn't be strange if IceFrog can have inside source on Blizzard about this new patch.

I didn't know the Warcraft 1.24 Patch changelogs yet, but i guess it sole purpose is to close the current major exploit that can execute external file from WC3 engine.

I expect the update will be arrive soon and it's very likely IceFrog will publish Dota 6.60 after Warcraft 1.24 Patch released. Well, i just hope that this won't delay the 6.60 release date any more than now ~_~

Warcraft Patch 1.23 Released! - Adios Dota Maphack!

Warcraft III 1.23 Patch now is in Beta stage released and available on Westfall and other server. Ok, so what? What's the benefits of this patch for us Dota Player? Well, after i read the changelogs, i cannot helped to say that this Warcraft 1.23 patch is created solely to support Dota-Allstars. I think Blizzard is really love Dota-Allstars. Curious? But before i go through, it'd better if you read the official statement from Battle.net first:

You may notice that the Westfall realm is available on your Warcraft III Battle.net list. The Westfall server has the beta Warcraft III 1.23 patch that can be applied by connecting to Westfall. Please keep in mind that Technical Support does not support the beta client. For patch and game discussion, please use the Warcraft 3 forum - http://forums.battle.net/board.html?forumId=12012&sid=3000

To revert your game back to 1.22, just select one of the main realms.
If you cannot connect to Westfall, it's probably down or not ready.

Ok, now read this part once more, Fixed an exploit where an altered custom map would be seen identical to the original custom map. This means, if there's someone play using hacked map (where the fog is turned off), it will be seen and cannot play with the original map. Neat! But sadly, this will also means we cannot use multiple language map in one game. We must use exactly the same map. But i prefer no maphack than multiple language map ^_^
(Edit: Someone says that the multiple language still work, must confirm this again)

Can't wait until This patch is officially released ;)

How to upgrade the patch? There's several way to upgrade into Warcraft 1.23 Patch..
1. Connect to BattleNet server and it will update automatically
2. Using the downloadable stand alone patch, check this post to Update Warcraft 1.23 Patch Offline
